Sali Latest GOPer To Chicken Out Of Debate

Freshman U.S. Rep. Bill Sali has now decided not to participate in a debate with his GOP primary opponent, Matt Salisbury, that was scheduled to air live statewide on Idaho Public Television on the evening of May 18th. “We can’t do it, we just can’t make it work,” said Sali’s spokesman, Wayne Hoffman. “Saturday’s out of the question, Sunday is very difficult”/Betsy Russell, SR Eye On Boise. DFO: I’ll comment Wednesday on decisions by Lt. Gov. Jim Risch, Congressman Sali and other Repub pols to pull out of important debates. For now, you should know that I consider anyone who refuses to debate an opponent, Repub or Dem, to be in the same category as a prospect who doesn’t show up for a job interview.
