At 5:35 pm Coeur d’Alene City Police responded to the 5800 block of Government Way for a motorcycle vs. vehicle accident. When officers arrived citizens were on scene performing CPR to a 31 year old adult male who was later pronounced dead. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Idaho State Police arrived on scene and took over the fatality investigation. Preliminary results are the victim was southbound on Government Way. A 1992 Toyota Pickup driven by Charles L. Taylor, 65 years of age of Dalton Gardens, turned onto Government Way Northbound from the Cenex parking lot. The driver of the motorcycle attempted to stop by laying the bike down. The motorcycle collided into the driver’s side door area of the Toyota pickup. Taylor was uninjured in the accident. Preliminary indications are that alcohol was not involved/Sgt.
