ShoshoneCo Dumps Sheriff Reynalds

The final cumulative poll results came in at the strike of 11 p.m. Tuesday naming Gary Yergler, Val Siegel, and Vern Hanson the big local winners of Shoshone County’s primary election that saw a near 55 percent turnout among registered voters. Current Kellogg Police Department Officer Gary Yergler stood alone as incumbent sheriff Chuck Reynalds only challenger to secure a decisive primary victory Tuesday with 57.18 percent of the vote to Reynalds’ 41.45 percent (Disparities in voting percentages are due to “undervotes” or the percentage of voters that chose to select neither candidate)/Shoshone County News-Press.
