GOP Dumps Vieselmeyer For Backing Ed

Fallout: When NIC trustee, Vieselmeyer voted to use forgone taxes (to buy the DeArmond Mill site) at the budget hearings he also sealed his fate as a State Committeeman for the Republican Central Committee. He was voted out last night after it was made known. Matt Roetter, who was dumped as a preceinct committeeman by a Ron Paulite, was then elected as the new State Committeeman, giving him a seat on the State Central Committee.

DFO: Actually, Fallout, Vieselmeyer proved himself to be a statesman and a conscientious supporter of higher education, something foreign to any party who would select an uberconservative replacement like Roetter. This is definitely not the Idaho GOP’s finest hour.
