I was born and raised in Anchorage, AK until I went to the U of I in 2002. I don’t think I have an accent or any of my family members for that matter. Obviously there are people who now live in Alaska that moved from somewhere else that may have an accent, but people who were born in Alaska don’t usually have accents. Do you ever hear anyone refer to someone having a “thick Alaskan accent” or anything of the sort? I haven't! I think there’s a reason for that...Alaskans don’t have one!/Mrs. T. More here.
