AM Scanner Traffic — 4/30/09

Redux: At 1 p.m. Wednesday, Scanner Traffic published an item re: that car fire that destroyed a Dodge Nitro here. Now, you might like to see video of the fire provided by the Timberlake Fire Protection District. In the first of the three videos, you'll hear an explosion of the car's gas tank as the fire truck pulls up the scene here.

  • 11:59 a.m. A mother and her daughter are separated after a physical fight on the 2500 block of Apperson/CdA.
  • 11:38 a.m. R/P reports that a driver is ramming parked cars in KMC's north lot. Update (11:47 a.m.) Suspect driver is now standing alongside his Jeep Laredo. CPD Blue report.
  • 10:49 a.m. Ralph @ Worley Fire reports the theft of items from the fire boat.
  • 10:38 a.m. Officer who responded to a Fernan complaint re: a speeding commercial vehicle said he saw no traffic violations after watching the town for a half hour.
  • 10:31 a.m. A CdA bank is nervous that someone in a Bronco with tinted windows is casing the place by driving in and out of the parking lot.
  • 10:28 a.m. R/P reports that an International Water Truck that is parked at the Spirit Lake boat launch doesn't have license plates.
  • 9:09 a.m. Michelle wants to talk to an officer re: dog killing her chickens.
  • 9:05 a.m. A vicious brown-and-white boxer of pitbull, with an eye patch, is biting other dogs. It's now in the alley in the 1600 block of 2nd Street.
