Joker: Brannon Is No Pawn

Joker: Jim Brannon is not a pawn. He is part of a movement to oust the status quo. He almost won, so he can’t be that ineffective as a leader or communicator. The supporters of the status quo had better come to terms with the fact Jim Brannon and company aren’t going away and they’re eventually going to break down the doors unless changes are made.

Question: Is it inevitable that Brannon, Gookin, & Co. will grab at least one City Council seat, as part of a movement that also involves local Republicans? Or is the Brannon lawsuit their last best shot at a seat in the near future?

He is a pawn letting everyone around him control his every move. This guy should stand up for his own principals and not those of talking chatter boxes.

Joker, just because he “almost won” it doesn’t follow that “he can’t be that ineffective as a leader or communicator.” Simply put, Jim Brannon’s campaign was lacking money, volunteers, focus and momentum from the moment he declared his candidacy right up until the Reagan Republicans came in and took over the campaign. Jim Brannon didn’t get volunteers, the Republican’s did; Jim Brannon didn’t raise any money, the Republican’s did (see the article on Sen. Mike Jorgenson’s illegal campaign contribution, he states that he was contacted by a ranking Republican).

However, I do agree with you that the Brannonintes and Gookiniytes aren’t going away anytime soon.

One question. If elections have been held under illegal circumstances over the years why are they just making an issue of it now? Is it because they smell blood? I’d guess so.

Are they going to go away? Not a chance. They do have some legitimate issues and the city has a lot of explaining to do.

Because they lost. Just like the teabaggers sitting idly by while W drowns the nation in debt and war, but jumping to their feet to save the Republic when a Liberal, Black man does the same thing (according to them.)

if Brannon prevails, I think I’ll sue every election district in the state to throw out all previous elections, thank you Reagan Republicans for showing us how to defeat the GOP in Idaho. ;-)

Phaed, I will join you in that exploration.

I suppose the question I’ve always had is exactly why, with actual truth and facts behind it, Brannon opposed Mike Kennedy. What has he done that was bad for the city of Cd’A? Specific policies and proposals?

I hope the door closes soon.
