At OpenCDA.com, Mary is applauding Jim Brannon’s courage for taking his election challenge
to court. And she takes a slap at “bloggers elsewhere” who have been ”attacking Jim on a personal level rather than discussing the rights of the electorate to have confidence in the honesty and efficiency of the system.” Not that I care what Mary thinks re: HBO, but I don’t think this blog has attacked Brannon personally for the lawsuit (although some commenters — which are different than bloggers — may have). Onward. Writes Mary: “When the poll books, tallies and totals were reviewed, THAT’s when the problems became obvious. I got a chance to look at some of the poll books and was surprised and shaken by the many irregularities. The process is not consistent. The rules seem to vary from one precinct to another. And there are all kinds of instances that cause a “you’ve got to be kidding me” reaction.” Full OpenCDA.com post here.
Question: C’mon, admit it. Mary Souza does make life more interesting for us with her partisan pronunciations on behalf of all things opposed to Mayor Sandi Bloem’s administration. Right?

Just about as interesting as getting Pink Eye and the Swine Flu at the same time.

The shrill sounds of North Idaho politics are not exclusive to one side or the other. Pretty equal most of the time.

Just about as interesting as using sandpaper and poison oak as toilet paper.

Mary Souza is the MVP of Huckleberries and she doesn’t even post here. Sorry Larry, you were a close runner up in my book.
I love Mary for her being consistent. Of course she applauds Brannon for being courageous. Part of me actually, agrees with her. It does take courage to file a goofy lawsuit and use an attorney with a name ripped from a Mickey Spillane novel.
It takes courage to use your own termination from a nonprofit as a political campaign platform. It takes courage to have your mininions attack a crippled police officer. It takes courage to attack the integrity of the election process and the people running it.

This whole matter of city politics has really become a great soap opera. I find it quite entertaining.

Mary seems to be like one of those “one man band” people, noisy and out of tune!

@MIC_S … DITTO. IT WOULD SEEM THAT EXTREMISTS NO MATTER WHICH EXTREME DO TEND TO GET NUTS OVER THEIR RESPECTIVE PHILOSOPHIES.

The trouble with Mary and her merry band of malcontents is that they don’t DO anything. I would be a lot more convinced of their good intentions if I were to see them involved in any of the nongovernmental volunteer projects intended to make our community more liveable. It has grown tiresome hearing about what they oppose — LCDC primarily. What are their plans to bring jobs to our community other than roll over and play dead for a certain hospitality/media mogul?
