This just in from PlanetGreenDiscovery.com: “How much poop is in your drinking water?” The word is being heard: bottled water is not all it’s cracked up to be. This message arrives just in time for us to learn that sewage, “including human excrement and dangerous industrial chemicals” is spilling into waterways across America.”
More here.
Do you drink a lot of water?

That’s usually ALL I drink. Thanks a lot! I need to go gargle something.

For some reason, I can’t drink water out of a glass. It needs to be in a bottle. Am I the only one?
Cindy_H on December 02 at 1:40 p.m.
Nope me too, IdahoDad.

The water that comes out of our tap is by far some of the most pristine water in the nation… About five years ago a guy in EPA’s Sole Source Aquifer program told me it was second only to an aquifer in Alaska … at that time, aside from a periodic chlorine shock in the spring and fall, all the tap water in Kootenai County was untreated…because there was no need. I’m pretty sure it is still that way…

Bent - I hope our water is as pristine as possible, too. I certainly get really cold water even in the summer.

Not any more. ;-(

Cindy and Idahodad, I dislike drinking from plastic. Cold water from real glass for me.

I only drink water from my special Spencer-Souza-Ingram tap. This way I know how much crap I am swallowing every day.

Jeanie the spokane water comes from the same aquifer for sure. The only difference is that spokane water seems to be treated a lot more with chlorine ….

The only drinkable water in the Middle East was bottled, from factories in Saudi Arabia or Kuwait. No wonder I feel funny.
Cindy_H on December 02 at 2:39 p.m.
@CB Me too! Can’t drink out of plastic. Unless it’s a water bottle. Does that mean I can?
When’s DFO coming back anyway? This blog stuff is taxing.

I drink 64oz of water a day. And right from the tap. I think our water here is excellent. Rarely do I smell any chlorine. The best I ever had though was in Montana - an old house we lived in had well water and it was always ice ice cold right from the tap - even in the middle of summer -

I can assure you the CDA water has chorine in it all the time. It has to to protect the lines and dead ends from bacteria growth.
Simply use an activated carbon filter and then you will have wonderful water from the tap all the time.

A survey was taken a while back, in which people were given a sort of ‘blind’ taste-test comparing New York City Tap Water with bottled water; the majority of those surveyed said NYC’s tap water tasted better. I drink a whole lot of fluids, since medications I take tend to dry me out. And the water tastes real good down here, too. The worst water I ever experienced was in Moscow, Idaho. It was said there was too much Iron in the tap water. Ten minutes after you took a shower in the dorms, you felt like you needed another shower.
