Jimbrannon.com Account Suspended

In a Dec. 3 comment below a post discussing Jim Brannon’s court challenge of the Nov. 3 Coeur d’Alene municipal elections, “The Bashing Begins,” Mary Souza encourages her troops to donate to the losing candidate: “Anyone can donate by going to jimbrannon.com, where they can use the donate button to send money through the secure PayPal system.” Only the site has been suspended. Click on jimbrannon.com, and you get this message: “The account has been suspended — Please contact the billing/support department as soon as possible.” Anyone knows what’s up? Mary? Bill?

    ROTFLMAO!

    Fiscal responsibility, what a hoot!

  • coeurgenx on December 09 at 9:42 a.m.

does Mary Souza pay for anything? Im surprised I haven’t seen her name in the paper for her house to be foreclosed on, and then hearing she has opened an account for donations to fight the housing market issues facing many people in our community.

Just to be fair that message is not neccessarily for non-payment. It is can also appear when a site’s bandwidth has been exceeded, which is entirerly possible. More then likely they are using a free or really cheap hosting plan with a low traffic limit.

  • Phaedrus on December 09 at 9:48 a.m.

PatrickH, do you rea;;y think the site traffic to JimBrannon.com is so robust that it triggered a shutdown? LOL!

  • PatrickH on December 09 at 9:49 a.m.

Ive had sites that I hjave used either free or cheap hostting for and have exceeded the bandwidth on them fairly easily, depending on the design it isnt that hard to do.

  • PatrickH on December 09 at 9:55 a.m.

    DFO,
Have anyone from the SR called his hosting comapny for comment?

  • Laughing on December 09 at 10:08 a.m.

“Just to be fair”…hmm, here? hmm. too many axes to grind?

  • tarynahecker on December 09 at 10:14 a.m.

Seriously, people are getting waaaaay too worked up over all of this.

I’m worried about Phaedrus’ blood pressure. Whenever Jim Brannon’s name is mentioned, he gets all rabid.

  • Joker on December 09 at 10:25 a.m.

I agree with you Taryn. I worry about poor Phaedrus. One day he might end up in the same group therapy session with Mary, Digger and Spencer.

Hi my name is Phaedrus. I’ve got a problem. Last night I dumpster dove into Jim Brannon’s trash can and I found out that he doesn’t recycle.

  • Phaedrus on December 09 at 10:37 a.m.

Joker is to Phaedrus as Pot is to Kettle. LOL! ;-)

  • redman on December 09 at 10:41 a.m.

Hey Hecker, Phaedrus is on fishing withdrawls….

    dont worry ice is forming

  • Cindy_H on December 09 at 10:45 a.m.

Great. Now when Brannon isn’t elected to public office the buck will stop at HBO. I see a newsletter with this explanation:

“Jim lost because of a vicious, vindictive rumor regarding his recycling efforts. Everyone knows Jim is an ardent advocate of recycling. He even reuses his toilet paper. Once again the rumor-mongering Spokane blog has maligned a fine upstanding citizen.”

  • Phaedrus on December 09 at 10:49 a.m.

    CindyH, ;-)

jim does recycle, that’s why he used the habit for Humanity logo for his 2007 campaign, no sense developing a new logo when there is a perfectly good one to steal.

    Oops! I mean recycle.

  • Phaedrus on December 09 at 10:49 a.m.

redman, how do you fish with ice? And more importantly, why?

  • Arch_Druid on December 09 at 10:55 a.m.

Pretty funny. I would have thought that when the ice is more than an inch thick on the local lake or pond that you then carve a hole and work your fishing line down into that hole and hope for a fish to take your hook.

Could be a lot of reasons for the jimbrannon.com to have been suspended. Including that it really was suspended.

  • Joker on December 09 at 11:06 a.m.

Well, maybe if he hadn’t been the victim of a city hall conspiracy, he’d have the twenty bucks to keep his blog going.

Stay strong Jim. I guess we’ll see you at the warming center.

  • tarynahecker on December 09 at 11:12 a.m.

Pheadrus, I think that’s how redman works out his guns.

But with your skinny little arms, you should probably stick to flies. Casting ice might be a little challenging.

  • tarynahecker on December 09 at 11:16 a.m.

Arch: “Pretty funny. I would have thought that when the ice is more than an inch thick on the local lake or pond that you then carve a hole and work your fishing line down into that hole and hope for a fish to take your hook.”

There you go, Phaedrus. Maybe Arch_Druid can take you out and show you how to catch a big one.

  • redman on December 09 at 11:26 a.m.

Hey we should have a blog ice fishing expedition. well put a fire out on the ice and BBQ…what do you think DFO…go out to twin lakes by DOC’s place and have a good old time. Calling on Bent…what is the status of the home brew….

  • Sisyphus on December 09 at 11:39 a.m.

Is the ice thick enough right now? I would think it is, no?

Good luck with that redman. I think its great way to get some sun in the winter but its not too easy to get people interested in that past time. A few years ago we took the kids to a pond over Christmas, about a dozen of us, and caught more than enough for dinner. A day well spent.

  • redman on December 09 at 1:28 p.m.

SIS, its been pretty cold up here Sis, little lakes have long since froze over. I will be in Sandpoint doing bus duty tomorrow late afternoon, can give you a report on Cocalalla and also the bays on Ponderay, which are great for big perch.

  • redman on December 09 at 1:46 p.m.

PS Sis how is the back doing?

  • Sisyphus on December 09 at 1:55 p.m.

Back in the saddle redman. Thanks for asking. The bigger issues were always the infections. I skied along the Boise River the other night but I may have have pulled a shoulder muscle killing a tree for Jesus on Sunday. But the back has been hunky dory since healing after the operation.

  • redman on December 09 at 1:59 p.m.

Thats good to hear, I always watch out for my leg that seems to carry a piece of infection from the Clearwater which wants to raise its ugly head an the most inopportune time.

  • nic on December 09 at 2:07 p.m.

“raise its ugly head” You mean… like Russia?

  • redman on December 09 at 2:36 p.m.

Sorry to dis you out on the table talk NIC,but was referring to a rather nasty strain of Staph, (not to be confused with Staff, as in City of CDA)

  • nic on December 09 at 2:49 p.m.

Sorry, Red.. If I replace the word “Russia” with the word “Putin” you might recognize the quote.

  • Phaedrus on December 09 at 4:17 p.m.

I will be in Sandpoint doing bus duty tomorrow late afternoon, —redman

    Driving for Sarah?

  • redman on December 09 at 4:24 p.m.

No silly scouting for ice fishing spots
