More Info: The Aryan Nations will continue to distribute its literature across North Idaho and Eastern Washington, one member said Wednesday. And prosecuting attorneys said nothing can be done legally to prevent it. The city’s legal team dismissed littering charges against three Aryan Nations members for distributing pro-white literature across Coeur d’Alene yards during the summer. The misdemeanor charges were dropped Dec. 3, Deputy City Attorney Anna Eckhart said Wednesday, because the fliers weren’t any different than any other political handout — therefore perfectly legal to distribute.
Question: Disappointed?

That members of the Aryan Nation exist, I am; As a supporter of free speech, I’m not.

Free speech is free speech I suppose. I wish I had their address so I could “distribute” a few months worth of litterbox “free speech” on their lawn. My cats are fully willing to collaborate on this effort…

“because the fliers weren’t any different than any other political handout ”
Really? Are other political handouts stuffed in plastic baggies and weighted with rocks? If the racists were sticking their propaganda between windshields and wipers or hanging them from doornobs, I could understand that argument.

I like the First Amendment. I don’t like skinheads.
Sometimes choices aren’t easy. I’ll put up with the “literature” and giive it the consideration it deserves.

I’m with scootermom.
We don’t need the courts and government telling us what we can and can’t say.
I don’t know if The Press still hands out their weekly free paper deal, but I remember seeing many of those in baggies alongside curbs and in driveways.
It’s ridiculous to arbitrarily charge people or certain groups of people with littering when there are a whole lot of flagrant violators who make as much of a mess, if not more often.
