Kennedy Outraised Brannon 3.5 To 1

Councilman Mike Kennedy raised $23,900 and spent $22,276 to be left with $1624 in his campaign kitty after winning a paper-thin victory over Seat No. 2 challenger Jim Brannon, who now is challenging the election. (You can see his final election report here.) Brannon, meanwhile, raised $6738 and spent $6734 to be left with $4 and change. (Report here.) The final campaign finance numbers were filed recently as part of the 30-day post-election report.

  • Mayor: Incumbent Sandi Bloem raised $9684 and spent $7633 to have $2051 left over. (report here). Challengers Joe Kunka raised $275, spent $261 for $14 left over (report here), and write-in candidate Alison Stam raised and spent $49 (report here).
  • Seat No. 4: Incumbent Deanna Goodlander raised $14,235 and spent $14,136 to end the campaign with $99 (report here). And challenger Dan Gookin raised $10,257 and spent $9753 to have $504 left over (report here).
  • Seat No. 6: Incumbent Woody McEvers raised and spent $2423 (report here), and challenger Steve Adams raised and spent $6443 (report here).

    I would’nt exactly call it a surprise, rather a concerted effort by the LCDC toward Goodlanders campaign to ensure Dookins defeat.He’s not exactly on the board ya know.
