Eastbound I-90 is reopened at mile marker six in Post Falls following a multiple car collision that happened at 6:15 p.m Tuesday. There were multiple injuries reported and at least one fatality has been confirmed in the crash. Police say an SUV from Great Falls was traveling westbound on I-90 headed for Seattle when it crossed the median and hit a car and a pickup head-on in the eastbound lane. A teenage girl who was a passenger in the SUV was killed in the crash. She was traveling to Seattle to receive her regular dialysis treatment. Initially Idaho State police said there were three people in the SUV, and the driver and another passenger sustained life-threatening injuries. ISP is now saying there were a total four people in the SUV/KHQ. More here.

Be careful out there everyone. Freezing rain is so absolutely dangerous. Thoughts and prayers to all involved. Please be careful and give yourself more than enough time to get to and fro.

My heart aches for all the families. What a horrible, horrible tragedy. I can’t imagine what the driver/mom is going through right now and how she will live with herself regardless of what caused her to lose control of the vehicle. God’s peace and healing to all.
