  OpenCDA should avoid weather forecasting. They reported that we were supposed to get 510 MPH winds. I’m sure it’s a typo… but it looks a bit odd.

  Here’s my favorite quote of the week:
  On Saturday as we tried to exit Boo Radleys a small child and his mother blocked the aisle. The frazzled mother held a box that the boy had evidently opened. The kid who looked about 3 wasn’t happy either. He said loudly, “My face is NOT smiling. It is NOT happy right now!”

  Wow, do the CDA police need an attitude ajustment or what!

  My sister in law slid her car off the road, and the officer in charge was beond a jerk. The only damage to the car was a dent in the door where it had bumper a post. The officer refused to let the car be driven away and called a wrecker.

  His attitude when he found that the car was not high centered on the curb as he claimed was one of sheer indignation that someone would point out that he was mistaken.

  Talk about a waching someone become a jerk in less than three seconds. It was like watching Dr. Jackle become Mr. Hyde in supersonic speed!

  CB. Gore is a complete joke. He can’t get any facts right and stumbles his way through as if we accept him at his word. He is really laughable. Won’t listen to an opposing viewpoint and must really believe the crap he is putting out. Last week, the center of the earth was a million or two degrees, according to big Al. I really don’t care for that guy.

  Pretty close, smacky. One difference is that Gore’s book sold 40,000 copies. Palin’s book is going for another print to take it to 2,500,000 copies.

  Nothing like 3 hours of “Ugly Betty” followed by a “Dexter” 1st season marathon to get one’s mind of of being sick :D

  The softer side of Hmoffsuite: I have been weeping for 5 days. Last Friday morning, my constant companion and best friend, Yogi (golden retreiver/pyrenees mix) couldn’t get up off the floor. We rushed him to the Vet and they did sonograms and xrays to determine he had a tumor on his spleen. They operated and removed the spleen and a tumor the size of a cantalope. Pathology report won’t be back until tomorrow. Then we will learn if the tumor was benign or malignant. (Only about 24% are benign). But, on Saturday, they detected a blood problem and said he might not make it through the night. Transfusions, plasma etc etc. We decided to bring him home to be with us if he were to die. Not in a kennel cage all alone. Once home, he is making good progress but we don’t know the outcome of the blood problem nor the tumor. If a malignant tumor, normally they have a month or two, from what the vet says. Yogi is 8 years old. I am appreciating any time that we have with each other from this point forward. Who says pets aren’t loved as much as people?

  hmoffsuite, sorry to hear about your dog. This summer we had to put down our dog who had been with us over 10 years. More than a pet, he was a part of our family. I still expect him to meet me at the door when I get home. The ache diminishes, but the pain never totally goes away. I’ll be praying for you and your family.
