Letter: Police Got The Wrong Guy

I am writing about the Cd’A Dutch Bros. robbery. I am the girlfriend of Charles Spencer and the mother of his child. Charles Spencer is accused of being involved in the Dutch Bros. robbery. I would like to be the first to say he did not do it or have anything to do with this and I am 100 percent disgusted with the work of the Coeur d’Alene Police Department. They did not do any investigation and arrested him for no reason. Now our 22-month-old son gets to spend Christmas without his father, pat yourself on the back for that one, Cd’A Police/Nicole Ator, letter to the editor, Coeur d’Alene Press. More here.

Question: Did Charles Spencer’s girlfriend help his cause by writing this letter to the editor?

    Is that her real name?

I read the whole thing. It doesn’t seem to hurt. Don’t see how it helps though.

Spencer…Spencer…why does that name sound familiar?

Nicole wrote “They did not do any investigation and arrested him for no reason.”

From a Dec.7 CDA Press article about the robbery:

“Coeur d’Alene Police have arrested three males in connection with the robbery that occurred at Dutch Bros. Coffee on Saturday. Detectives acted on an anonymous tip and were led to a residence on Mill Avenue. The three males were interviewed by detectives and then taken into custody. Information gathered by detectives indicates all of them conspired to commit the robbery and each played a role in it.”

Mr. Spencer had his preliminary hearing this p.m. and after hearing from the witnesses the judge decided there was enough evidence to have the matter set for trial.
