Cocoa Butter Back From Near Death

Cocoa Butter, a Shih Tzu, was snatched out of her owner Tom Tuffin’s car and slammed against the outside wall of Spokane City Hall by man who chose to beat the dog instead of his girlfriend. The 5-pound dog suffered extensive injuries during the June attack, but she’s still alive and recovering. Meghann Cuniff/Sirens & Gavels reports here that Michael Jones, 20, pleaded guilty to first-degree animal cruelty Wednesday and will be released from jail next week after serving four months for the crime. Question: Is a jail sentence of 4 months punishment enough for this crime?

Mr.Jones should get a taste of what he did to the dog, no more, no less. Maybe six months in lockup with Bubba as his cellmate as an added bonus!

So hard to imagine ANYONE could do this to an animal. The viciousness of the attack — this is one fella I would not want out on the streets EVER. I cannot contain the hatred I feel for this guy; we should tattoo the face on this dog on his chest so he will never forget Cocoa and what he had done with his own hands. Sadistic A-hole!!
