A serious legal charge if true – very serious. We’re talking about funnin’ the IRS here. Jail time has happened for some people who have violated these kinds of laws.
There is more than one non-profit designation. If I read their information correctly, they have a 501(c)(4) designation. That allows political activity; the (c)(3) does not.
