A
man was caught sleeping on the couch of a Spokane nail salon early Saturday in an alleged burglary detectives think may have been sexually motivated, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. The owners of Perfect Nails, 9311 N. Division St., arrived at the business about 9 a.m. Saturday and found the front door smashed out and a man police identified as Matthew S. Kelso, 21, sleeping on a couch. Kelso was still asleep when police arrived and was “physically taken into custody” after deputies said he refused to show his hands, according to a news release/Meghann M. Cuniff, Sirens & Gavels. I’m glad they nailed him.
If he’s sentenced to rehab for the petty theft, would that be a petty cure? Just wondering.

Uh, oh.
“Kelso, of Hayden Lake, told deputies his father was a lawyer…
The Brannon thing gets curiouser and curiouser.

“Kelso, of Hayden Lake, told deputies his father was a lawyer and declined to speak with them further,”
Mwahahah! HAHAha. Ha! Wow. Priceless. I missed that the first time… thanks for pointing it out, John.

It was Mike Kennedy’s fault.

Actually, Nic, I wish I hadn’t read the rest of the article. They were neighbors of mine for several years in CDA and I’ve always had great respect for Starr.

@ Nic; I agree w/JohnA. This situation isn’t something to glory over.

Consider me remorseful, heaven forbid my father be responsible for all the stupid stuff I’ve done.
However, I don’t share the respect for Kelso that John holds. Since I know nothing of him beyond his handling of the Brannon case, I’ve not seen anything that demands that level of respect. Seeing this didn’t make it any better.

and, BTW… the KHQ link directs to Spokane sherriff’s logo.

Nic, Starr’s main focus in the law is representing those injured on the job as they plod their way through the intricate and lengthy workers compensation system. A very needed, and very honorable line of work.
