Noon: Xmas Divides Mice & Men

Among the male gender, there are men and there are mice when it comes to Christmas shopping. The mice bought their gifts, after thoughtful consideration, by Nov. 15. The men wait until Dec. 24 — or if possible, until the small hours of Christmas Day itself. Ladies, think of it as male power shopping — but with an adrenaline rush. Starting time, as ever, will be 10 p.m. on Dec. 24. At that moment, you haven’t bought a single present — and more ominously, you haven’t purchased a single gift for your wife. By 10 o’clock on Christmas Eve, your options are something less than limited. Walmart and Target close at 6 p.m., Kmart, Sears and Home Depot at 7, J.C. Penney at 8. By 10 p.m., only convenience stories will be happy to see you — well, they’re not happy to see you, but they’re open/Steve Crump, Twin Falls Times-News. More here.

Question (for men): Are you a mouse or a man when it comes to Christmas shopping?

In many families, the “men” are allowed to be “mice” because they expect the wife to do all the decision making and shopping for gifts for her in-laws.
