You know… if we had snow like last year… we wouldn’t be having these kinds of problems.
Don’t you dare laugh. But I’m that 1:40pm gal who fell down the steps. See if I EVER bake stuff to pass around the neighborhood again!!!! Have I EVER had a rough couple of months. The irony is I’m far more injured than I was in my rollover car accident. Just put my foot down the wrong way, did a face plant on the concrete and my glasses went into my face. Let’s hear it for klutziness. I freaked out and called the EMTs because I could stick my finger into my face and that was a little bit unnerving. As was the copious amount of blood. My poor son freaked out and thought I was going to die. So the EMTs had to calm him down and reassure him. Now I am home chilling out after gosh knows how many stitches, a tetanus shot and the removal of shards of frame from my face. I look like someone punched me and roughed me up real bad. Good thing I don’t make a living with my face because it’s pretty messed up now. Gal in the ER told me a lot of otherwise minor incidents need medical attention because people’s glasses do some serious harm. Think I’ll go back to the contacts.
I just thought I’d better check in and see if I made the police scanner again. Glad I beat everyone to the punch (line) of cracking jokes about my unfortunate afternoon.
Here ya go Cindy: http://bit.ly/4Etygd. This was after the clean up and stitches. I couldn’t bear to look at myself before then. Seriously afraid that I would throw up or something. I’m sure the eye will be even more colorful in a few days. Just in time for Christmas!!!! I’ll be a Christmas decoration in and of myself!!! The lack of showering and/or makeup per doctors orders can only improve the effect. Thanks for the well wishes both of you. I’m just chilling out tonight. And seriously thinking of alternatives to going up and down the neighbors steps (despite the police report, it was not my own steps, it was the neighbors)
Thanks:) It should heal up quick. Time will tell if I have a big ole scar there or not. I’m just glad I didn’t poke my eye out. I bet I have a record for person in here who’s hit the scanner the most number of times. Twice in less than two months. Wow.
They’re pretty gross. I’m gonna start telling people I’ve taken up cage-fighting.
I have to get off the computer now and take the bandage off. Hope I don’t faint again. I nearly did last night and that was without the bandage removal.
The worst pain is from the dang tetanus shot though. You know how those are.

Alas, Liz, I don’t Facebook, so I can’t see your lovely photos.
I do have a very vivid imagination, though!
