Poll 2: Shopko Fires Hero Pharmacist

Coeur d’Alene pharmacist Jerry Gunderson was fired after he chased down a robber, the the Chicago Tribune reports. Gunderson apparently broke Shopko company policy of resisting a robbery and the Wisconsin company ignored the pleadings of his immediate boss and the fact the community gave him an award. Hey I know that Wisconsinites would be just as ready to go after scofflaws as Idahoans so the company policy, aimed at protecting its employees is probably hurting its image/Rocky Barker, Idaho Statesman.
