My one regret as a parent (Oh, ok, I have a gazillion regrets, but this one particular one wasn’t
my fault!), and that is that my two sons never got their picture taken with Santa. We tried but failed miserably. It happened that my first son was born on the 10th of December – a little too young for a picture with Santa, mainly because as a new mother, I was NOT going to let just anyone hold my brand new baby. Not even a jolly old saint of a man, wearing red pajamas and ho-hoing loudly, giggling his large belly. No way. We settled for dressing the baby in a Santa outfit and placing him under the tree for endless adorable pictures/JeanieS, Nuts & Nonsense. More here.
Question: Did you drag your kids to the mall to get their picture taken w/Santa? Anything happen worth mentioning here at Huckleberries Online?

My daughter took my, then 3 year old, grandson to have his picture with Santa…. he took one look and started to bawl. She took him and walked around the mall until he calm down… then tried again. Same thing, Santa tried, the camera gal tried, nothing was going to change it… so my daughter said to the camera gal…”take his picture, I will torment him with it when he is an adult”…. which by the way, he is 19 now, in college… and coming home for Christmas…. hummmmm , I will have to ask my daughter where that picture is…

My daughter is almost 8 and I take her every year. I take her to the mall in Seattle where she gets her photo taken with the exact same Santa that has been there for 8 years. The only exception was the year we moved back home (Cda) and I took her to the Valley Mall. So we have 7 photos with the exact same guy and one with the Valley Mall Santa. So my only regret involving this is not taking her back to Seattle one year for her photo. I like consistency I guess.
