For our family, Christmas isn’t complete until we sit down and watch “A Christmas Story.” We’re not the only ones. Here are Top Ten Reasons why A Christmas Story is the Best Christmas Movie Ever.
Reasons include The Scut Farcus Affair, The Bunny Outfit, and I Triple Dog Dare Ya.

I never woulda pegged Liz for Bad Santa. There’s those three words the heroine repeats that still makes me LOL just thinking about it. Hope your wounds are healing Liz.
One sleeper that I really enjoy is Home for the Holidays. I mentioned it to my buddy the other day and he burned me a copy just in time for tonight.

“Elf” is a fairly recent one that’s become a yearly fave. Also, anything starring Kermit and the gang like “A Muppets Christmas Carol” or “Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas”, which was my absolute favorite when I was 8, and which I recently rediscovered. Not quite as fab as I remember it being, but still fun.

Charlie Brown Christmas ranks high on my list.

Another sleeper I saw recently was Joyeux Noel about the true accounts at the start of WWI and how the armies independently called a break in the action to celebrate Christmas with each other in the no man’s land between the lines.

Phaedrus. >> ” and It’s a Wonderful Life on Christmas Day.”
A little local trivia regarding ‘Wonderful Life’. The father of a friend of mine in Cda is the bartender in the movie. His name is Sheldon Leonard. He was the ‘Aaron Spelling’ of the 50’s and 60’s in addition to being an actor. He produced the Danny Thomas show, I Spy, Cosby show, Dick Vandyke and Mary Tyler Moore and others. His first ‘Emmy’ is on her mantel in Bennett Bay.

The story of the WWI Christmas truce is one that instills my faith in humanity and in God, in the face of so much that is wrong in this world.

Sorry, but uh . . .:
“It’s a Wonderful Life” is the best Christmas movie ever, followed by, as JeanC states, the Alistair Sim Scrooge!
And, “I’m Mr. Heatmeister, I’m Mr. 101 …” is the best cartoon!
Mr. Heatmeister is empyrius’s Earthly embodiment of the mythological celestial fire that circumscribes the universe entire, or is it a myth, hmmmmm, only Ein Soph would know . . .
O yeah

I like Alistair Sim’s version of the Christmas Carol plus that of Patrick Stewart’s. Then there is Rudolph the Movie, Whoopi Goldberg’s “Call me Claus” just got that DVD yesterday. A Christmas Story isn’t exactly my cup of tea. The Little Drummer Boy is a good one. I like The Polar Express too. And The Christmas Angel.
