Merry Christmas Hucksters!
I’ve survived another festival of Strange Norwegian Meat and am ready to bask in a day filled with family, food and maybe a present or two (I’ve been good, and all are reports to the contrary are flat out lies!).
As I write this I’m reminded of the Christmas morning a small boy prodded me awake. “Mommy!” he whispered. “Santa came! He came!” He eagerly dumped his stocking on my stomach. I blearily squinted at the clock. It was 3 a.m. “Alex,” I hissed. “Santa, hasn’t even reached Idaho yet. If you don’t get back to bed and go to sleep right now, he’s going to come take this stocking back!”
That little boy is 17, now. and STILL sleeping. I may have to wake him up!
Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, whether you believe or don’t believe, my Christmas wish for you is still the same… peace, goodwill, great food and maybe just a moment or two Christmas magic.

We had our big celebration last night. My granddaughter and daughter-in-law wanted two guinea pigs after a relative came to visit and brought her pigs. My son said, “NO”. So one of the gifts I gave the two important girls in my life was each of them a gift certificate to PetSmart for the purchase of their new “pets” and the accessories. They were so excited and the disgusting look on my son’s face was priceless.

LOL, FHB, I love it! I want a cat and Mechanic Man has been negative about it. But a gift from Grandma would clinch the deal. Maybe I can pretend to be my own Grandma.

I’m 24 now, woke up at 9:30, got a cup of coffee and went straight to Huckleberries. LOL :D

Santa brought Deena and I a puppy. If you can call a dog that is nearly 20 pounds at nine weeks of age a puppy.
Yep, we got a Great Dane pup. He flew in from Minnesota (boy, are his little arms tired - bada boom) and is already bringing great joy (not to mention an accident or two) to our household.
The little big guy was quite a hit at the Austin family’s Christmas Eve dinner, which was a small affair this year. Thankfully, my sister’s new place in Dalton Gardens was up to the task of 37 people and one big pup dropping by.
Meanwhile, I’m thinking maybe we can get Pedar fitted with one of the horse’s saddles, one of these days. :)
Merry Christmas to all the Hucksters in HBO land.

Omigosh! I got the Wii Fit for Christmas!! (I’d asked for a personal trainer, but daily trips to the Boise firehouse were uh..vetoed).
Whoo hoo! I’m skiing, I’m yogaing, I’m walking my cat. Just not all at the same time :-)

The Wii Fit is awesome! I’ve had it for over a year now, and I got a few new games for it today. I got my mom the new Wii Fit Plus game.

Ha! that is our after-christmas present to ourselves this year (or technically next year). My wife’s 74-year-old dad bought one this Christmas too…

Jeanie, I’ll be your grandma. Just send me an email with your address and the color of kitten you would like. Mechanic Man will learn to love it. He won’t love me, but I can handle that.

You always know when it is clouding up. ION broadcast 34-1 through 4 starts blipping, dragging, fritzing out. Yeah, can’t get THOSE programs through Dish network.
Nice antenna though.
Even stationed in my room at the window it does pick up most broadcasts nicely. Hopefully the day will come when I can install it on my roof.
