Don’t be burning your Christmas Tree

Because outdoor burning has been banned in North Idaho until Wednesday.

Of course, I guess you could burn them inside, but It’s probably not a good idea.

A dry Christmas tree will burn like an inferno in about 20 seconds. Pretty scary to think of that happening indoors.

The Second weekend into January everyone here drags their crimbo trees down to the village little carpark opposite the chinky take-away and one of the local council bring one of those machines where ya shove ya tree in one end and it comes out the other end chopped up like chippings…… the chippings are then spread on all the village woodland paths or people can take bags of them for mulch ……. burning is such a waste :)

I will add, that one year many moons ago, I pruned the branches off me tree cos I couldnt get it out the door on me own, and though I might as well burn them on me big open log fire…. BIG MISTAKE lol…. I caught the chimney on fire and had to have the fire brigade out….. did they bollock me or what :)
