Denny’s Offers Free Breakfast

With hundreds of hungry customers taking their turn waiting in line, Denny’s Restaurant, server Jessica Nance looks over multiple orders in Vacaville, Calif., this morning, during the restaurants nationwide free Grand Slam breakfast promotion. (AP Photo/The Reporter, Rick Roach)

Question: Anyone take advantage of the offer by Denny’s this morning to provide a free Grand Slam breakfast?

My kids were interested, but I figured with the crowds, I probably could harvest the grain, raise the bacon and then cook it all up before the local Denny’s would have room to seat our family.

I’d rather not eat breakfast than have breakfast at Denny’s, to be completely honest. The last time I was at a Denny’s, the entire staff seemed to be on meth, and the food was terrible.

I would, but I haven’t been that impressed with the Pullman Denny’s, so we haven’t been there in quite a while.

Then again, I also don’t eat breakfast and it would take too long to hit them on my lunch hour to make it worth going.

You get what you pay for….

Ah, the Pullman Denny’s is the one I was specifically talking about. I went there for dinner two years ago, and the entire staff was methed out. Worst service I have EVER had in a restaurant, period. it was Christmas Break - perhaps the manager was gone? - and the staff didn’t care about anything but tweaking. And the food was nothing more than grease and starch.

    No thanks.

I don’t think I’ve eaten at a Denny’s since I went to the UofI and would head over to Pullman for some “Moons over my Hammy” after a late night alcohol binge…ah, memories, or lack thereof….

A couple friends and I took advantage of this amazing deal at the Denny’s near the airport. It was as disgustingly delicious as we expected.

I have been to the Pullman Denny’s countless times during the middle of the night and I remember it being slow, annoying and just not the best.

One day I went there around 1:00 in the afternoon and it was totally the opposite. It was heavenly. Or at least in whatever sense the Pullman Dennys can be… Maybe things taste better sober and in the afternoon…

At the most, I eat Pancakes maybe once a year. And the last time I had Pancakes, it was at the CDA Denny’s a long time ago. I’ve never been wild about pancakes. Even free ones. Now, cheesecake, well that’s another matter…:p

Had the free Grand Slam at Denny’s on 4th in CdA and it was worth every penny! Have never seen so many happy people in this Denny’s.
