TUBOB: Breakfast Spells B-O-R-I-N-G

My breakfast choices are sadly pedestrian and even more sadly almost always involve the drowning of cold cereal in cold milk. I think, in order to vary the soul-deadening mundaness of my existence, I may have frozen eggo waffles this morning, except of course I will toaster them first. I will add both butter and peanut butter to my eggo waffles as they need something heavy and oily spackled upon them to provide them sufficent substance to leave my feeling I’ve eaten a meal of sorts if you ask me. Fried potatoes? ZOMG I love fried potatoes for breakfast. Do I ever make myself fried potatoes? No I never make myself fried potatoes/TUBOB. More here.

Question: What did you have for breakfast this morning?

I had toast with butter and raspberry jam (usually it’s cinnamon & sugar), and a half glass of milk. I bring the other half of the milk with me to work and am now enjoying it in my coffee with some French vanilla creamer. Or maybe I should say I’m enjoying the coffee in my milk - it’s very blonde!
    Mmmmmmm

Normally I would have replied “tea or coffee” since I can’t eat breakfast, makes me feel icky. But for the last couple of weeks I have been experimenting with having a cup of thin soup wit my tea or coffee and so far, so good. No wanting to curl up and die and no lead weight in my tummy.

Last week it was an Asian thin soup using fermented soy bean paste as a base and this week it is turkey broth with assorted veggies simmered into it and then strained to take the chunky bits out. Very tasty.

a pain pill, a diet dr. pepper, yogurt and an apple (in that very important order)

A breve latte and a raspberry & cream cheese croissant I bought from the neighborhood coffee shop (Fuel).

Normally, I would have black coffee and either cold cereal or instant oatmeal, but we haven’t gone to the grocery store in a while and the cupboards are pretty bare.

Nearly every weekend I will make a nice breakfast on Sunday (bacon, eggs or pancakes, and fried potatoes) and serve them to my wife in bed where we read the paper.
