Griffey’s a Mariner? GREAT! Although he’s probably gonna find out the hard way that ‘you can’t go home again’ unless the M’s get a lot more consistent. Griffey can’t take the team to the playoffs by himself. This also will serve to provide some polarity in the clubhouse, because all of a sudden, the aloof-somewhat-quirky Ichiro isn’t gonna get all of the Star-Attention now. I can just see it, Ichiro sulking in a corner of the dugout while everyone lavishes praise upon Griffey. Maybe Ichiro will start trying to Hit With Some Power For A Change.
