The Mariners announced late Wednesday that Griffey, who played with the team from 1989 to 1999, would be returning to Seattle for the 2009 season. Caution: The following comment is Very Inappropriate and in exceedingly bad taste. You’ve been warned…
Getting killed in a BOWLING ALLEY? This brings to mind an old episode of Northern Exposure, when one of Maggie’s boyfriends was killed by an unmanned spaceship crashing into the earth; the boyfriend just happened to be hiking in that particular place on the earth. When the funeral was held, the casket with brought in, pieces of satellite were sticking out of it, and the crowd in the church tried very, very hard to keep a straight face, but they couldn’t restrain themselves.
Of course I send my condolences out to the Coach’s family, I really do. I guess I just never associated Bowling Alleys as places of high risk. And if this post is blasted out of the HBO Blogosphere, that’s okay…I’m kinda expecting it.
