The Vikings have a very good girls team. I thought they’d win by more, but Emery Roy is the greatest high school girls basketball coach ever, and Poffenroth’s praise of his game plan is dead-on. Roy willed that game, because in a pick-up game, I think the Vikings win by a lot more. I was very impressed with Coeur d’Alene’s season, which I followed. Those out-of-state games were critical to prepare them for this game. Centennial has a gauntlet to run through down here with Boise and Vallivue playing high level ball, so the Vikings did what they needed to do to see that kind of competition. Congrats to them!
