High Noon: Blogfest ‘09 Costumes

I appreciate this photo b/c it shows a lighter side to Coeur d’Alene Press columnist Mary Souza. Here, I believe, she’s at a Margaritaville section of Las Vegas in December. That’s a parrot on Mary’s head. I’m told that Mary’s costume was one of the tamer ones at Margaritaville on that day. Why do I show you this? I want you to know that costumes are acceptable at Blogfest ‘09. Trish Gannon/River Journal will be wearing her infamous condom dress. I’ll try to find a photo of that for posting purposes here. BTW, you can read Mary’s response to this post here. By & large, she seems a good sport about it.

I’ll most likely be sporting my Uppity Fat Chick button, but other then that, probably not dressing up too much :D

I am coming as a frazzled, uber-deadlined, always-behind, stressed out, maxed out, jittery, secretary trying to clean my buried beyond repair desk before jury duty on Monday, wearing my fat jeans, comfy sweater, and absolutely no costume! That would send me over the edge.

I’ll wear my Uppity Fat Chick butt, which I blame on the fact that I spend more time sitting and playing on the computer than ever before ….since I have found HBO.

Oh, fun! Maybe I could dress as a firefighter (or simply wear a firefighter for that matter) - problem with that is that I’d have CindyH tailing me for the whole event!

As you can see, I’ve unearthed my tiara. Since I will be Jeanie’s assistant, bestowing awards, prizes, noogies and wedgies, I guess I should find a Vanna White type ensemble.

Considering her know it all attitude, it is hard to imagine she actually listens to Jimmy’s songs. She should be excommunicated as a Parrot Head.

Why haven’t we socially evolved past high school? It’s sad when you see middle-aged people holding up drinks in photographs like they did in high school. Is that the only time you pose for a photograph, when you’re three sheets to the wind?

If my friends show up at my house with a bottle of booze and a camera, I don’t let them in. No good, and I mean no good can come from mixing drunks and camera. Come on people!
