HBO Buffalo’d By Nonini Faux Site

Every once in awhile, I get snookered by someone online — and that happened this morning. I thought Bob Nonini had sent me a post announcing his candidacy for Congress in 2010. I didn’t see the note at the bottom: “Authorized by no political committee or candidate.” Comments by Redman and Scootermom drew my attention to parts of the site that I didn’t notice when I posted the link. I consider Nonini to be a possible candidate for Congress. That’s why I was taken by this scam. I tip my cap to whoever pulled this off. I also will warn that individual that I will kick him off this site, if I ever find out who he is.

    He won’t win the primary…

OMG…I just looked at his website. The DNC must be licking their chops this morning hoping they get Nonini as Minick’s opponent. At the very least he’d better get some professional help with that website and messaging if he has any hope of raising the dollars it’ll take to run…

Is this a joke? DFO you better check this out you may have been Tubobbed.

    Seriously?

Didn’t these guys learn any lessons from the ‘06 primary?

  • moscow_minidoka on July 01 at 8:59 a.m.

Oh dear, I sure hope he does run. He’ll never even win the primary, and if he does - by some strange twist of fate - Minnick will wipe the floor with him.

I can swing my arms and hit a North Idaho Republican that I would rather represent me in Congress rather than Bob Nonini. Hell, I’d rather have Sali than Nonini, although it makes me vomit in my mouth a little bit to even admit that.

From his blog 9not a website)

    Teachers Love Bob

The State of Idaho Loves Bob

    Hard Working Americans Love Bob

    Mary Souza Loves Bob

    Dealers Love Bob

    ROTFLMAO!

Is this the same guy who went on a golfing junket during the legislative session missing a key vote on his own bill? Nonini suffers from delusions of grandeur. He won’t be forgiven for bashing education and teachers. This, by a representaive who has never raised kids. What has he done in his life other than being a political hack? Skeletons?

  • danofthecommunity on July 01 at 9:24 a.m.

Are you sure you haven’t been spooled or spoofed or whatever on this one?

  • scootermom on July 01 at 9:26 a.m.

    Dave,

    The website can’t be real.

“Dealers Love Bob” with a photo of a drug smuggling plane.

    Picture of Nonini with “parnter.”

And fine print at bottom saying it’s not authorized by the candidate.

Scootermom; thanx, I was buffaloed. I didn’t check all the photos. Or see the disclaimer at the bottom.

  • Cabbage Boy on July 01 at 9:44 a.m.

Do you seriously think Nonini would be a candidate for congress?

Don’t think he would make it far if he did.

  • DFO on July 01 at 9:46 a.m.

Nonini has solid conservative credentials. Which mean he could be a force in a horse-race Republican primary. Who would have thought that Sali would win the primary a few years ago?

  • wheels on July 01 at 9:46 a.m.

The ‘Rabbit’ could be his campaign mgr.DFO you can’t be serious.

  • Sisyphus on July 01 at 10:45 a.m.

Thanks Dave. My thoughts exactly. I gave up the notion that extremists can’t win primaries after Helen Chenoweth.

Sis; I noticed ThomG’s post on the 43rd State Blues site re: the faux Nonini congressional bid. You might want to upgrade with my post that this was a hoax.

  • Digger on July 01 at 10:42 p.m.

DFO - this is classic stuff. Just found the link over at 43rd state blues - comic genius!

  • Sam on July 01 at 10:54 p.m.

So, Dave, let me get this straight. You’re not threatening to kick people off your site because YOU got tricked? Honestly, you should kick yourself off. I’m so flustered right now that you’d blame the other person.

“Nonini has solid conservative credentials. Which mean he could be a force in a horse-race Republican primary.”

Yes, he could be the back half in the horse costume.
