“1:55 p.m. EMTs are checking on a possible heat stroke involving a 6MO baby left inside a vehicle in Wal*Mart parking lot.”

This should be grounds for immediate action by child welfare, and result in immediate jail time. How much of a complete moron do you have to be to do this to your child? It's grounds for having your parenting rights revoked.

Phaedrus beat me to it… was going to say I saw her Greyhound headed WB on I-90 doing about 70 mph. He was about 10 feet tall and 50 feet long though, weighing several tons so I wasn't going to stop him.

Toad, I will say that it shouldn't be grounds in and of itself. But should be a reason to look. People do make mistakes. People, especially mothers get harried and hassled and hurried. Sheesh, if only I could count my dumb parent mistakes on one hand.

But by the grace of God…

      a 6MO baby left inside a vehicle in Wal*Mart parking lot…

…is not a mistake; locking your keys in the car is a mistake, leaving your baby in it is gross negligence.

      Phaedrus,

Are you a parent? A perfect one? I am not saying this parent doesn't need to be looked into, but you are going to judge a person based on a scanner report?

You must be a better pseudonym than I.

I would like to think that there was more than just the grace of God in helping me *NOT* leave my baby in the car in July. And I make the judgement based off of the scanner such as not ever wanting to let THAT mother be responsible for my children. So Cabbage … are you saying that if you knew the identity of said mother that you would still be willing to be open minded to letting her watch your kids?

    • Cabbage Boy on July 01 at 3:35 p.m.

Heck no. I wouldn't let her watch my kids because I don't know her other than she left her kid in a car. Sometime merda happens. Most of the time, we are the cause of our mistakes, but has no one here ever left a kid somewhere, lost a child, made that horrible mistake that had you thinking, “what a terrible parent I am.'? I'll be honest. I have. But I ain't telling anyone here, ya might turn me in.

Just saying, that isn't a lot of information to judge the issue as black and white. That said, a blog probably isn't the place nor am I the person to point this fact out.

      Two things -

      1) I agree with Toadman 100%

      2) “4:14 p.m. A 20YO male has regained consciousness and is vomiting after passing out in the men’s lockerroom of the Kroc Center.” – Did he swallow some pool water after a “Code Brown”?
