I think the man at 12:23 that is threatening to kill girlfriend if she removes her belongings should meet the husband in yesterday's thread who threatened to burn wife's clothes if she didn't return. There's a twisted moral here - I just can't quite get it straight.

@ JeanieS re: abusive men in last two day's Scanner Traffic: How do so many women end up with these losers?

oooo, good subject. I think I will noodle over that and write about it. How come some women end up with losers, and other women - like Cindy - have sweetie pies that adore them? And why do the women in loser relationships keep on repeating the same old thing over and over and over - just replacing the name of the abuser.

Jeanie, often it may have to do with the father figure in their lives. Or lack of one.

I've met people, male and female who are bound and determined to change their mate and if said mate doesn't want to change, kaboom. When you are in a loosing situation, cut your losses and get out, old gamblers creed, tomorrow is another day. I guess some people don't like to be thought of as failing, especially at marriage.

CB - I kind of agree. I had a wonderful father; I adored him and he was as sweet as he could be with my Mom. Somehow, the poor blokes in my life never come up to the high standards of my Dad. Mechanic Man comes close - but no cigar. well, I don't want no stinking cigar. But you get my meaning.

4:09. I just cannot resist this. So the boys have the compound bows and the squirrels have the arrows. Can I get tickets??

Jeannie: the squirrels have arrows. It's like Groucho:

“I once tried to shoot an elephant in my pajamas. What the elephant was doing in my pajamas I'll never know.”

LOL, John. I forgot that phrase. I still think it is hilarious (because I'm very visual and I see these things all the time: elephants in pajamas, squirrels playing with arrows)

Is that something like telling the squirrels not to bring arrows to a gun fight?
