Question: What do you usually buy when you go to your local farmers market?

Fresh veggies: lettuce, tomatoes, radish, fennel, what ever looks good! Fresh bread, love the braided garlic loaf by Pasty Depot (also found at Pilgrims) Lamb, and lamb sausages if the Good Shepherd Lamb people are there. Then just peruse and see what everyone has brought to the market. Open Markets have a special hold over me. On our first trip to Europe (Italy) in '98 I remember our first morning, and looking out from our breakfast room and seeing a market set up on the street just outside. We wandered that street market after breakfast. I marveled at the wonderful local bounty of fresh local everything. I was in awe.

Bread. I love bread. Mia, I have been to Italy many times, and the food there is spectacular, but I love the bread the most. If you come on the 19th of September, let's make it a bread event instead of meat. Of course no one will listen to me, as meat is the flavor of the day. I will still be there.

When I buy a table for the day, then I go down to SELL at the Market. Just going on Saturdays, after I have a paycheck in hand. Got lots of veggie plants yet. And some greens.
