A number of tongue-in-cheek awards were handed out at Blogfest ‘09 Saturday, including:

• Best Nom de Plume - Best alias moniker on HBO - Digger
• Peace-Keeper Award - Goes to the HBOer who breaks up the most blogfights - Stickman
• The Do-Your-Job Award - The HBOer who posts more at work than at home - Jeanie (confessed)
• Most Creative Avatar - The poster with the most unique avatar - Frum Helen Back
• Cutline King (or Queen) - the HBOer with the most/best cutlines in Dave’s cutline contests - John Austin

Hi everyone! It was absolutely fantastic to be at my first Blogfest and get faces to your “funny” faces (avatars). People kept giving me gifts! Thank you! (Cindy gave me the last tote bag so I could haul everything home.) I am actually writing this from WORK, as usual. I was going to catch up on stuff because I’m on jury duty starting tomorrow. My office manager just walked by and said “be sure and turn in an overtime slip.” So - I still feel guilty blogging from work ON A SUNDAY.

The following are the awards from yesterday. Thank you Nic for your wonderful ideas.

• - ADD Award - HBOer with the shortest attent… OOOH! Shiny! - Cindy (respectfully declined)
• - The Do-Your-Job Award - The HBOer who posts more at work than at home - Jeanie (confessed)
• - Most Creative Avatar - The poster with the most unique avatar - Frum Helen Back
• - Cutline King (or Queen) - the HBOer with the most/best cutlines in Dave’s cutline contests - John Austin
• - Longevity, Durability, Endurance, and Persistence Awards - For the HBOers who have been here since the beginning of time - There were four that stood with DFO and I can’t remember who they all were. :(
• - Lightning Strike - The HBOer who is most struck by lightning for making logical comments - MamaJD
• - The Cooler Award - The HBOer who has spent the most time in the cooler this past year. - Instead of picking on anyone, we gave the Cooler to DFO – with past and present Cooler residents. Hilarious fun.
• - Palinized - Most likely to be Palin’s running mate in 2012 - Gary Ingram
• - The Distance Award - The blogfest attendee who travelled the furthest to get there - (Again, can’t remember - Cindy?)
• - The Tinfoil Hat - HBOer/blurker with the most crackpot conspiracy theory - We couldn’t pick just one
• - The Ancient and Wise, Older than God award - For the oldest HBOer - Gary Ingram
• - The Young Whippersnapper Award - For the youngest HBOer - Digger
• - Best Blogfather and BlogWrangler extraordinaire? - - DFO – of course (went with the Cooler Award)
• - Best HBO Gathering Place - Where HBOers go when they aren’t blogging - Stickman’s driveway
• - Best Brewmeister Award - Best Brew This Side of Stella (for those who stop blogging long enough to go to Stickman’s) - Bent
• - Blogfest Idea Man Award - Kudos for Ideas, Suggestions, and Lists for Blogfest - Nic
