On Frozen Pond

Billings firefighter Ben Jares, center, heads out on an ice rescue sled to retrieve Duke, a St. Bernard dog who was frozen to the ice on a pond at Peter Yegen, Jr. Golf Club in Billings, Mont. Friday. Despite suffering from the cold and exhaustion, Duke was treated at a vet clinic and released to his owners that afternoon. (AP Photo/Billings Gazette, Casey Riffe)On F

I love the effort that we put in to saving animals, I wish everyone felt the same.

I feel the same as you “Big Stick”. My pet animals
are almost like family and I’m greatful that emergency
responders are willing to go the effort to same our
    pets.

That ice rescue sled is one neat idea; I hope it becomes
    standard use everywhere.

    Nice resuce and all.
    But…
I prefer my firefighters with just suspenders, boots and you know… whatever else keeps them warm.
    Just saying ;-)

It’s no wonder that we love firefighters so much. Bravo guys !!
