I just read this news article about how Army reserve soldiers in Hayden, Idaho, decided to do a training exercise by walking down the streets in full gear instead of their usual exercise due to the snow. Somebody snapped a photo, and now the Internet is abuzz with paranoid crackpots claiming the new administration is trying to acclimate us to soldiers in the streets and preparing for the “communist takeover.” Get these people some meds/Photo Editor Jake Barber, UI Argonaut. He’s right. People are way too edgy lately. They’re seeing boogie men in everything.
CALM DOWN PEOPLE!! It’s all gonna be ok…
(note to self: maybe they should INCREASE the levels of anti-depressants and sedatives in the water supply..)

Oh geez. Moving here from Boston, this whole conspiracy theory thing was new to me. I remember getting wind of people who wouldn’t get their kids vaccinated (a whole ‘nother topic altogether..won’t even go there…) but their reasoning was not medical: they truly believed that the government was busy microchipping us via those shots. Wow…I think they have some good meds for people who are THAT paranoid…
