  • 5:29 p.m. R/P reports a possible illegal burn a half mile north of Seltice Way/Pleasantview intersection/Post Falls.
  • 5:19 p.m. A man described as 6-1, 190 pounds, wearing a long blue jacket may be trying to hitchhike along I-90 @ Sherman Avenue.
  • 4:21 p.m. A Bonner County vehicle sustained a broken window when it hit a wild turkey @ Highway 95 & Bunco Road.
  • 4:13 p.m. R/P reports that a driver e/b on I90 @ Spokane Street is drinking a beer.
  • 3:19 p.m. A bus driver reports that a man is walking along Highway 95, gesturing at traffic, after abandoning his small red-and-black vehicle.
  • 1:43 p.m. An unconscious man is slumped over the wheel of his vehicle @ 6300 E. Highway 54.
  • 1:01 p.m. A vehicle has rolled over off Riverview at the top of the west loop.
  • 12:56 p.m. 49YO man with a history of heart problems is complaining of chest pains @ Hot Rod Cafe/Post Falls

  • 11:03 a.m. A moose is injured and about 20 feet off Highway 54 @ M/P 3 after being hit by a vehicle.
  • 10:44 a.m. A pickup has rolled down an enbankment off Seltice Way, across from Slab Inn/Post Falls. Female is hanging out of vehicle, holding her head.
  • 10:07 a.m. R/P reports a cat is screaming @ 1701 Nettleton Gulch & may be injured.
  • 9:03 a.m. Woman wants to see officer re: 2 Husky dogs who jumped on her son @ 17th & Lunceford.
  • 8:56 a.m. City streets worker calls for sand on Kathleen, between Ramsey & Atlas, stating roadway is “almost impassable.”
  • 8:24 a.m. 62YO woman has fallen in her driveway in 16000 block of N. Highway 95, possibly fracturing her ankle and knee.
  • 8:23 a.m. Dalton Gardens woman wants to see an officer re: children going through her mailbox after school.
  • 8:13 a.m. 3-vehicle accident in e/b lanes of I-90 @ Huetter. No injuries.

    How big is her mailbox, and how did these kids fit through it?

    Are they ghostly children? In that case wouldn’t the mailbox be going through them?

    This isn’t how I wanted to make it on HBO today DFO. One of those dogs knocked over my son and was trying to drag him off by his coat sleeve. :( Hopefully they caught those dogs-the one that did the dragging was a 2-tone brown breed about 40 lbs.

    Shannon; sorry to hear about your son’s close encounter with two big dogs. As an adult who was knocked down and bitten by a rottweiler a coupla years ago, I know how scary a dog attack can be. I hope Junior is OK. Keep us posted if you hear anything about the loose Huskies.

    You know it’s a quiet day, when around 11:30 am this morning, a doe ambled up lime Kiln here in Bayview, seemingly without a care in the world. When deer in town aren’t spooked during mid-day, you know it’s dead, dead, dead.

    I hit a wild turkey a few years ago. I was west of Farragut on Hwy 54, doing about 60 when here out of the corner of my eye, I spotted something. It hit my left headlight assembly, crushing it, then did about three whifferdils up in the air and came to rest somewhere behind me. They fly like pheasant. low to the ground and they are hard to spot, let alone dodge…
