Stickman: In Praise Of Simple Life

I have all I want. though my life is slowly coming to an end. I do what makes me happy, not what makes me rich. Richness is again, a state of mind. Everyone is racing around to make their life a statement of sorts, mostly to no end. I am going backwards in a sense, looking for the simple things that I remember as a youth. Of course I will never find that. but my journey has been very satisfactory of late/Stickman. John Austin’s response here.

Question: Do you need to simplify your life?

I took my sons to see Stickman and they came away with two beautiful sticks and a handful of cool rocks. Then we walked by with two of their friends and those two got two great walking sticks. What a blessing to know someone who gives so freely and without reservation to strangers.

I try to simplify my life but I simply just can’t. I don’t think it’s my personality. I’m high strung. I have to do bunches of things and I super multi-task. Always. Perhaps the only time I’m not doing more than one thing at a time is when I’m in the gym, which I’m heading to right now.

My wife saw this and asked why my life is slowly coming to an end, she actually got mad at me. Wrong choice of words again, I have a habit of that. I meant the last chapter of my life is unfolding, and I will make the best of it of course.

Stickman. When I read your post last night it gave me a feeling of sadness. Glad to have you modify it somewhat. :~)

hmoffsuite: Thanks for the thoughts, I was just a bad choice of words. Something I’m sure happens a lot on here. I’m sorry that you felt sad, maybe a visit is in store for you to restore your faith in me. I look forward to that visit, as I do all of the bloggers that come by, such a family are we.
