In her Coeur d’Alene Press column this morning, Mary Souza begins by exclaiming: “Intimidation
in this town has got to stop! I’ve heard stories galore detailing the long history of harassment and cronyism in this city, and it is well past time for these deplorable methods to end.” She then zeroes in on her favorite punching bags: LCDC, Charlie Nipp, Sandi Bloem, Mike Kennedy and the City Council. After reciting Charlie’s alleged sins of omission, she tells of the cold reception she received when she asked for his resignation at a recent council meeting. Then, this: ”It wasn’t until I sat down and could no longer respond that they started to attack citizens, by name, for speaking out. Councilman Ron Edinger sarcastically reprimanded us, saying we were ‘out of place.’ Councilwoman Goodlander accused us of ‘character assassination,’ though no one had said a word against Mr. Nipp’s character.” Mary didn’t mention if any of her allies were filming the council reaction for a possible YouTube video this election season.
Question: Who’s intimidating whom in this town?

Indeed.

Why no link?

I hope she keeps it up. Her shrillness will continue to marginalize herself and those associated with her, making it easier for rational people to choose who to vote for.
On another note, I wonder if MikeK ever knew how close he came to getting mouth-to-mouth resuscitation from Mary???

>Why no link? — Sisyphus<
I just added the link. Sorry.

Maybe I should change my above vote on “most intimidating person” to Mary Souza. She gets an op-ed column as a microphone, far better than most.

Thanks Dave.
What a hypocrite. She gripes about intimidation by Nipp but fails to see that her faction started it by initiating what turned out to be a bogus claim. And she’s a liar: “… no one had said a word against Mr. Nipp’s character.” Accusing a man of unethical conduct is most certainly attacking his character. She reminds me of those petty busybodies in high school who end up pissing everybody off and then sits alone in a corner of the cafeteria silently weeping wondering why nobody likes her.
So has she got Kennedy to raise his hand yet to ask for permission to urinate?

Let’s hear no more on this blog about the appropriateness of comment on the CDA Press blog after what JOKER was allowed to post above!
Shame on you!
Aliasjax on March 20 at 10:57 a.m.
Gary’s right, DFO. That comment by Joker is a…um…low blow and should be deleted…
DFO on March 20 at 10:58 a.m.
Gary; I just read the comment (10:56 a.m.) by Joker. Indeed, it was inappropriate. And it was immediately removed. Way over the line.

Sorry, I got carried away by March Madness. Mary’s column is terrible though. Never seen anything like it.
Bent on March 20 at 11:38 a.m.
Dang it! What did he say? Can someone wisper it to me?
Charlie on March 20 at 11:45 a.m.
Got a question for Arch, how many people read Mary’s column? The Press keeps calling us to resubscribe, and I keep saying NO.
I’m with Bent, what did Joker say?

((Sarcasim On))
MMQC being untruthful!!!!! Say it aint so!!! She’s the fountain of truth! Don’t believe me,,,,,, Just ask her!!!
((Sarcasim Off))
Mary Souza, Dan Gookin and their crew wouldn’t know the truth if it stepped out in front of them right now. Mary has lied so much in the CDA Press that a lot of the people I know refer to her as the “Magpie”.
And Joker,,,,,,, I’ve often wondered that myself!
:-)

Stickman on March 20 at 7:55 p.m.

“Mr. Kennedy charged up, coming way too close, then loudly berated me for a comment I had written. His face was red and his neck veins were bulging. He was so incensed that, as a former critical care nurse, I was mentally reviewing the protocols for CPR.”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
