Survez Sez — Duane Hagadone

In today’s HBO Poll, 41 of 88 respondents (47%) say that resort/newspaper owner Duane Hagadone is the most intimidating person in the Coeur d’Alene area. Of the nine choices, “others” received the second most votes with 18 (20%). Your Huckleberry Hound was third (8), followed closely by Mike Kennedy (6) and Dan Gookin & Mary Souza (5 apiece). You can still vote at this link here. I’ll probably use this particular poll in my print column a week from Sunday.

I will go with the crowd. Duane may not be the most intimidating, but he is definitely one that gathers the most attention, though mostly on the negative side.

does anyone know if there is any truth to a rumor I heard that a disgruntled Hagadone employee,um, how do I put this delicately… relieved himself in Duane’s office???

    I love that Liz.

Stick >>> “I love that Liz.”

That seems to be a little out of character for you.

No really, someone told me this years ago. My source supposedly had an inside track to the goings on at Hagadone central..

I am usually skeptical of stuff like this but who knows…the story went that some guy left a pile of his own in an office corner to express his displeasure with the company. I don’t know if he had been fired before this or was fired as a result of this according to the story.

hmoffsuite: Out of character, I love that. What’s my character?

  • hmoffsuite on March 22 at 7:31 p.m.

Stick. I sense you wish no ill will towards anyone or anything. That, in my mind, would be part of your character.

For some reason, I have a problem with the word character. I never spell check, as I think am perfect. Go figure. As for being out of character, what do you want from me? I sometimes think of you as the same, where do we go from here. Come by sometime, as we will discuss it.

I never think ill will from anyone, except Kage at times. HMO. I like your style, and will always read you.

Stickman. I have promised to stop by as soon as I return to the area. I wll keep that promise. I think we will enjoy each other a great deal when we are able to meet in person. Btw, I’ve got a couple years on ya.
