Hwy 95 was designed to take pressure off of the old 95 which is Government Way. Originally, it was designed with frontage roads on both sides. Political pressure from some of the more powerful business heads prevailed, and that plan was abandoned. You can still see parts of frontage roads between Cda and Hayden, mostly on the west side.
