A truck displays a Wyoming State Library “library mudflap girl” sticker in this photo taken in Cheyenne, Wyo., last week. Library officials say the marketing campaign, which was launched in the fall of 2007, still generates a lot of feedback, good and bad. Story here. (AP Photo/Matt Joyce)
Question: Would you like to see one of the local libraries market itself with a “mudflap girl” sticker?

It depends, did they use library staff for the model in the Wyyoming campaign? If so I have defenitly been going to the wrong library.

If women actually sat around in the library reading like this, libraries might see their internet porn problem magically disappear.
I like it. Any marketing plan that includes the silhouettes of naked women get’s a vote of confidence from me.

That’d go over like a lead balloon in Idaho Falls or Rexburg!!!
Makes Boise’s exclamation point “Library!” building logo seem oh so tame.
If it gets young boys away from the playstation, Xbox, Wii, gameboy or television and into the library, I’m for it.
Think of the positive social changes that could come about if the young generation adopts the mindset that “smart is sexy.”
I think they’re on to something.
