MaryC: Nothing Crude About Nude

Re: CNN features Worley nudist resort

It is funny to laugh at nudist resorts, but the truth is vacationing at nude resorts is the fastest growing trend in the travel industry. I know of what I speak as my husband and I own The Terra Cotta Inn clothing optional resort located in sunny Palm Springs, California. Last year we were the only resort that had an increase in sales in Palm Springs. We were up 5.85%. And this year business is fantastic too. I can tell by the comments that no one has been to a real nudist resort here. Just like Marriotts and Hiltons have guests of all ages, so do nice nude hotels. Our guests range from their 20’s to 70’s/Mary Clare, Terra Cotta Inn. Full comment below.

Question: This comment by Mary Clare of the Terra Cotta Inn nudist resort prompted some speculation re: what HBOers wear when they’re posting from home. Well?

People go to nudist resorts because they are very relaxing, freeing, and fun. We have found this year more first timers than ever who were tired of wasting their money at boring chain hotels.

So don’t knock it until you have stayed at a nice nudist resort. Because once you have, Yyu will end up like our geusts where we have just over a 75% repeat guest rate, of guests from around the world, one of the highest repeat rates in the travel industry.

And do you know what the number #1 home state of our guests is? Washington!

Home? I don’t post from home. I post from work. Geez, why would I cut into my personal time?

I am usually wearing business attire, and furiously typing with a knitted brow so others think I’m completely focused on the brief, or whatever, I pretend to be writing.

    Clothes.

I honestly get too cold and I have an eight year old son. ‘Nuff said….

Depending on when I am blogging, it may be whatever I have on for the day or I might have thrown on my comfy flannel PJs and sweatshirt.

There, now you know. No nude blogging goin’ on at Casa Arakelian.
