Really? This really happened? Man.. oh man.. wow…

And, of course, I vote.. not just “no”, but “HELL NO!”

…and that, was the sound of the social liberal in me blowing a gasket.

Welcome to Idaho, please set your clocks back FIFTY YEARS!

    heh…

  • moscow_minidoka on March 30 at 11:09 a.m.

Do your job, or find another line of work. I don’t want Mormons refusing to serve me coffee or alcohol, or Bryan Fischer refusing to sell me a box of condoms.

If you cannot fulfill the duties of your profession, you need to find a different job.

Toad writ: “Welcome to Idaho, please set your clocks back FIFTY YEARS!”

And your paychecks. Unless you’re Butch “Tight Jeans” Otter or a member of the Idaho Legislature.

David Ripley and Bryan Fischer once again convince the Idaho legislature to treat women’s uteruses as public, rather than private, property.

Everybody gets to decide what stays in my uterus except me.

ok - add this to the four or five reasons I like to live in Washington.

Can you just feel the hate.

What happens when we get a pharmacist who decides he doesn’t believe in medicine ? His employer has to pay him to sit there and do nothing all day ?

  • scootermom on March 30 at 11:57 a.m.

Hate? MM’s comments are based in fact.

How is it hateful to point out that BF is opposed to condom use for the prevention of STD’s or the prevention of pregnancy among teens.

And there’s nothing hateful about the Guv’s tight jeans. Recall, that he won a contest back in the 90’s.

“What happens when we get a pharmacist who decides he doesn’t believe in medicine ? His employer has to pay him to sit there and do nothing all day ?”

Of course not! He’ll be prescribing prayer and the laying on of hands instead of antibiotics.

    ;-)

  • scootermom on March 30 at 12:11 p.m.

Wouldn’t the laying on of hands spread more germs?

    I’d rather have antibiotics.

  • moscow_minidoka on March 30 at 12:11 p.m.

What you feel, Kage_Mann, is not hate. It is frustration. It is the frustration of a former Republican (and current “independent”) who has seen his party hijacked by religious zealots, and a fourth-generation Idahoan who made colossal sacrifices to move his children back to their home state only to see his state become the home of paranoid anti-intellectuals like Fischer.

There is no hate, Kage. Just frustration. If I was a hater, I would have stayed where I was, instead of moving back to Idaho. The only reason I am IN this state or ON this blog is because I care, and I love Idaho.

  • notright on March 30 at 1:16 p.m.

I’m assuming the maroons in the legislature will still support oxycontin and viagra. Those items seem to tie into their values. I am outraged. Outraged.

  • toadman on March 30 at 1:26 p.m.

“Wouldn’t the laying on of hands spread more germs?”

Depends on where you lay the hands…

    ;-)

…sorry, my inner 13 year old is taking over.

  • toadman on March 30 at 1:48 p.m.

“…once again convince the Idaho legislature to treat women’s uteruses as public, rather than private, property.”

I was just thinking, if they make women’s privates “public space” in Idaho, I think I know where I’m planning our next family picnic!
