Nick Adams: I lived about two hours outside of Boston. The first time I drove
into Beantown, I learned very quickly that drivers there take the term
“bumper” literally. As soon as I got to my hotel (The Bostonian) I went
straight to the bar for a couple of martinis. I never did really get comfortable driving in Boston, but I loved
the city so much that I’d put up with it for the regular visits.
Although, whenever possible I’d just park as far out on the “T” as I
could and ride in
Question: Which city/town has the worst drivers that you’ve encountered?

Not a city,,,, but a country,,,, The Dominican Republic. After 3 days of driving over there, I wanted to get on my knees and kiss the ground when I got back in to the U.S.
.
I found out that the number one rule of the road there is “Who ever has the biggest vehicle has the right of way”. And I do believe that speed limits there are only a suggestion. On top of that, who woulda thought that you could put 5 “Adults” on a Honda Trail 90cc motorcycle? Then they would get out on an 8 lane highway at night without any lights!!!
It’s a beautiful island,,,, but if you go,,,, take a cab,,, you’ll live longer!!!

actually, for all my blather about Boston drivers….
I have to say the WORST drivers I have ever encountered were in Athens, Greece. Those Greeks are C-R-A-Z-Y. Too much Ouzo, maybe????
And I wasn’t even driving. I was merely an innocent pedestrian tryin’ hard to stay alive…
