Truly: I have to blow my horn for a second: my daughter in law, Michelle, will be graduating on Saturday from the UW and then on to her Maters in the fall and all the while being pregnant for the first time. She has worked soooooo hard and is brilliant and a scholar. Bob and I are so proud. I am sure there are many of you who will be celebrating various graduations in the next days to come so tell us about them and quit bickering over the small stuff.
Question: Anyone graduating in your family? Go ahead and brag.

Yep, my little baby niece is getting her Doctor of Pharmacy tomorrow - she is the smartest thing and I’m so proud of her!

I will. My son got his GED back in 95’ and worked dead end jobs since then. He decided that wasn’t for him after about ten years and figured out how to go to college and have some of it paid for. He enrolled in the University of Idaho and just recently graduated, with some high honors. Not many jobs out there for him now, but he has made his dad proud. His future is in front of him.

I just realized that this story was started by one of my favorite bloggers, Truly. Congratulations are in order. And the small stuff, I agree, get over it.

Thats great. You should be very proud and he has a lot to be proud of as well. I sense he will do very well in life with the tools he picked up in college. His future is indeed in front of him.

Yes, my sweet Amy, last one at home, graduates high school June 5 third in her class. Okay, Clark Fork’s graduating class isn’t that big, but still third. She’s smart, talented, compassionate and beautiful, inside and out… a parent couldn’t ask for more.

My daughter-in-law, April, will be graduation from nursing school in a pinning ceremony next Thursday. I’m so proud of her for doing so good in college and still being a number one mom. And I’m proud of my son for taking over the laundry and cooking for a family of six.

Good on him!
And congrats to your DIL as well. Nursing school is no walk in the park, and is a very important profession.

I must concur with my mother. Michelle is a shining jewel in our family. She’s brilliant and wonderful and my little brother is pretty darn lucky to have her and I know he knows it. She’ll basically own graduate school and their child will be fantastic and I’m pretty excited about being an uncle to that kid.
