Joker: Stop Posting About Mary Souza

Joker: I wish you would stop posting Mary Souza stuff on Huckleberries. It’s like going to a four-star restaurant and mid-meal finding a long blonde hair in your baked potato. She’s shrill. She’s annoying. She’s a broken record. I bet you could program 10 Mary Souza responses to any question about the city and you’d have it covered.   Food for thought!

Question: We discussed this topic briefly in comments Wednesday. What do you think? Is Mary, Gookin and the rest of her small band of conspiracy theorists of any interest here any more — even for comic relief?

Yeah. About the only time I won’t find cause to tune her shrillness out is if I find it on HBO. Otherwise, if I see it in the Press, I am not likely to read it. Not even for comic relief.

You know, joker has a point, but on the other hand HBO has shed a continuous light on that group’s political agenda from the beginning. It’s not just Souza. She is just a pawn in a larger political movement that is attempting to wrest some political power in Cd’A. Personally, I like to stay aware of those things.

Mary is no better or worse than half the other nut bags that are given continual face time here. I say let it continue.
If you don’t like it, don’t read it and especially don’t post on it, that’s all.

Please continue… but post sparingly. I need just enough to know who not to vote for in local elections, but not so much that it prompts my gag reflexes.

Besides… only a few more references to the antiCDA website and I’ll have enough information to complete my “Which CAVEr are you?” quiz on facebook.

Continue. If you don’t keep an eye on who is doing what, the consequences may be terrible. If Butler wasn’t spotlighted there could have been a really big mess. Mary is a pawn and it would be nice to know the string pullers?

    I agree with ejs.

I also, agree with Joker, but not for the reasons you’d think.
DFO, only posts Mary S. threads to ridicule her and then almost the whole HBO crowd posts negative comments about her, to fulfill DFO’s nefarious thrill.Don’t post a thread about Mary S. unless it can be a fair and balanced thread.

Keeping posting it - it’s better that we know what mischief they’re up to than to remain ignorant of it.

“Don’t post a thread about Mary S. unless it can be a fair and balanced thread.” - Kage

If we had to wait for Mary & crew to be fair and balanced… Dave would never have anything to post. Out of the 10 posts on openCDA’s front page - one of them has a positive subject (Congratulating Gary Ingram for an award). Yet, the comments thread for that post spiral downward into a series of insults and accusations against DFO “No doubt DFO expected to get this prestigious award for some reason or another” (by Wallypog — May 4, 2009 @ 9:50 am), Betsy Russell “she could not ethically write stories when she was a voluntary, integral part of the story” (Comment by Bill — May 4, 2009 @ 11:50 am) , the Spokesman Review “There was an element of sour grapes at the Spokesman-Review when Gary won the award.” (Comment by Bill — May 4, 2009 @ 11:50 am)

Ton’s of classic insults and hypocrisy: “Name calling, divisiveness, it’s not necessary at the local level and it destroys the community” followed by “And the idiots wonder why their subscriptions are falling through the floor!” (Comment by Dan — May 4, 2009 @ 1:50 pm)

Seriously, openCDA is nothing but DanG, Stebbijo, MMQC, Bill, and Wallypog patting each other on the back for “exposing” CDA’s dirty secrets and seeing who can best insult the SR & CDA leadership. There’s nothing fair and ballanced about that.

The only voice of reason over there is raygun - no surprise he (she?) is attacked every time they post.

  • Kage_Mann on May 07 at 9:19 a.m.

Does anyone know who Raygun is on Opencda.com?

I suspect that it’s a regular from HBO, but who am I to speculate?

  • Kage_Mann on May 07 at 9:23 a.m.

I got chastised by Dan for hazarding a guess and I support anyones right to anonymity.

    Dirtgate.
    Pondgate wild Gookin goose chase.
    Illegal last minute smear campaigns.

    What a proud legacy.

    Me too Bent, and Don.
