Mike Jorgenson, R-Hayden Lake, said he was unhappy that the fees “will be imposed for the most part on Idahoans and not spread to visitors,” unlike gas taxes. But Sen. Jim Hammond, R-Post Falls, said, “Any time that we offer services in government, the cost of that service should be paid for by the user of that service/Betsy Russell, Eye On Boise. More here.
Question: Do you agree with Sen. Jim Hammond that we should pay higher driver’s licenses fees to offset the service that we’re getting?

Interesting - we (law firm) just got notified that filing fees in Spokane County are going up from $42 to $62 for the first page (for Deeds of Trust, etc.) effective July 26. 47% higher.
